Dance Exchange invites you to join us for our 2019 Co|Lab and the creation of a new work that will be performed at Dance Place on June 22nd and June 23rd, 2019!

Co|Lab is a community choreography laboratory that invites local artists and community members of all backgrounds, ages 13+, to collaborate alongside Dance Exchange in the studio and on stage. 

Led by Associate Artistic Director Elizabeth Johnson, with partnering artist Keith Thompson, this new work will connect with current research and dancemaking happening with physicists and scientists at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRiB) at Michigan State University and finds inspiration in stargazing and the science behind how elements are made. Dive into a creative process and be a part of dances about the questions we have about ourselves and our universe.

Registration for this program is $250. After you complete this form, Dance Exchange will contact you via email to process your payment. Participants must be able to commit to all rehearsals and performances. Rehearsal schedule (June 2019):

  • Saturday June 8: 10 AM – 4 PM (at Dance Exchange) 
  • Tuesday, June 11: 7:00-9:30PM (at Dance Exchange) 
  • Tuesday, June 18: 7:00-9:30PM (at Dance Exchange) 
  • Wednesday, June 19: 7:00-9:30PM (at Dance Exchange) 
  • Friday, June 21: 4pm-9:30 (at Dance Place for Dress rehearsal)
  • Saturday, June 22: 8pm Show (arrive at 6pm)
  • Sunday, June 23: 7pm show (arrive at 5pm)
